it sad when rust takes over. no matter if its inside or out side I know what you mean crashx! So far I got two rust spots I gotta address on this Starlet: ○ whole next to the battery tray, for some reason the corner of the battery begins to rub on the sheet metal overtime and creates a nice whole... or at least this is the explanation I come up with. ○ the spare wheel tub also has a rust whole that I need to patch, when the rear hatch seal begins to leak, the water collects on the tub and since we don't really look at the spare tire often! Boom rust begins to decay the thin sheet metal..

After doing some research on radiators I've decided to order this one used on a 1989-1994 Suzuki swift. . Hopefully it arrives before next weekend so that I can install it! Attachments:

So today I put in some work on the starlet since I got the radiator from ebay! It's from a 89'-94' Suzuki swift, it's a double row all aluminum radiator! As you can see it is just a bit taller & more narrow than the original but I'm hoping the double row will compensate for that! I also went to the junkyard and got the lower radiator mount from a 93' Geo metro to use on the kP! You gotta cut about 1/2" of the bottom of the bracket so that it will allow the radiator to sit lower to clear the hood! I also used the old radiator hose as a isolator for the mount. of course you gotta cut it in half.. Welded on the lower radiator mount and prayed some primer. The fan sits in the same position but you have to mount it in front of the original mount points! This will give you the 1/4-1/2" clearance on the bottom that you need so that the radiator does not hit the water pump pulley! and about 1" on top, I'll probably get a long metric bolt to prevent the fan from rattling when it comes on. Installed the radiator and walla! It sits nicely and the hose position is almost as the original! Incase you're wondering what those pieces of paper are! Well I was getting measurements to make the upper radiator mounts.. Well that's all for today, I do need to get a new radiator cap since the one that came with the radiator is not sealing right!

So not much going on with my project because of no funds for my toys.. lol But I decided to dust off these seats and put then in the KP! Seats are from a Suzuki Swift GTI. Seats fit nicely, a little high but way better than the originals..
