Okay.. time to post some pictures of my KP.. it's been placed on hold for now due to no funds at this time Not a show car but the body is pretty straight! So far two rust spots.. both which seem to be normal for KPs under the battery tray and the spare wheel tub.. so as usual the initial maintenance.. drain and replace all fluids and wheels.. lol after the routine maintenance and wheel swap what a difference some wheels make.. lol Seems a bit too high at stock stance. plans are to lower it a couple of inches

So after using it as a daily for work (80 miles a day) I few more issues started to appear! I had a loud humming noise coming from the rear and was afraid that it would be the transmission! K50 transmission are not easy to find and not many Trans shops want to take on this task.. but after making my checks the transmission was OK and the wheel bearings needed to be changed. So my son gave me a helping hand.

Sooooo! After driving the KP for about a month! The next issue showed up  Engine was over heating... So the engine breakdown begun! Teaching my son some wrenching on the 4KC! looked like #3 cylinder was taking a lot if coolant.. ooh yes! The joys of an old engine! Broken head bolt.. soaked it for a couple of days with penetrating oil and out it came..

yeah I think I need a radiator also.. maaaan it's slowly moving from a low budget build into a $$$$$ project.. hahahaha one of a couple options I'm considering! TE27 radiator, the inlet & outlet are in the right position. Am also considering a EG civic radiator.. And here's were the action was placed on hold.. with the Toyota fest around the corner I had to concentrate on my other KP!

No much has happened since then.. I've collected a few more items for this project but due to long work hours and short on funds! (Needs before wants ) haven't work on project Ronin.. score a RX7 oil cooler at the junkyard! To put on the KP! Why? Because it was 50% off & it will look cool.. hahaha also picked up some western wheel meshies, nothing special just 14x6.5 remember it a low budget build.. I also have a pair of Suzuki swift GTI bucket seats in the garage that I plan to install.. Hopefully I can free up some time and funds to get her back on the road before this May for the 21st Toyota fest in Long Beach!

Not much to report on the KP buuut! After finishing up some tree trimming I was able to dedicate some time to the KPs cooling system! Removed and replaced the water pump, the old pump was rusted and the bearing was screaming for help every time the engine ran! Lol

So after I flushed or the cooling system and installed the new water pump (new pump was made in Japan which was nice to see) and notice some major buildup on the battery tray! No Bueno! As you can see from the pictures that battery tray is almost gone on the end. ..
