So feel free to post up some pics of your first love or even just a description what it was and why it caught your your eye in the first place. there are some pics of my first corolla a ke55 coupe that i bought as a burnt out shell and brought it back to life until i stupidly sold it.

My first Toyota is my 76 celica. When I ran into it I wasn't looking for anything in particular. All I wanted was an old school project. I liked the look of the quad lights and then later found out what other people would transform them into. And that's when I caught the bug. The fist day I owned her. when I got it to look how I wanted. Back from paint.

thats maad mate I do love a good set of quad lights. This is mine on the first day I got it. the last owner was in a chase and lost control and hit another car and a light poll and the engine bay caught fire so he did the runner and I ended up buying it off his mum for $800 they showed me good pics of when it was still nice so I drove 4 hours to go get it to find out it was damaged but after I had seen it I fell in love and wasn't driving home without it Attachments:

Hey David it was cool reading your introduction post about how you got into Toyota. Do you have any pictures of your dads 1975 Corolla sr5?

June 1969 Goulburn NSW Australia. I owned a Manton Mini 998cc and used it to commute from y first job at Radio 2GN Goulburn back home to South Australia across Hay plains some 12 hours 1000 km often at 70-80 mph. And the cluster gear went bang, so I traded on a 1967 Toyota Corona 1600S at Stillwells Toyota Canberra and went into hock to the tune of $900 when I earned about $60 per week. This was my first Toyota Corona and I drove it through 1969 until 1976 and used it in many Victoria Rallies while at University Ballarat and in Melbourne until I got engaged in November 1976. At that time I bought from Toyota Dealers Stawell a 1974 Corona GT developmental car, Twin caam, five speed LSD etc etc etc. Story line here.
I still have the Car
I still have the Girl and love them both to bits

Hi all where I caught the bug was when I was born. My dad (Crash_x) and mom drove me home from the hospital is his 77 corolla. All my life if I went anywhere dad drove me in it. Ever morning for school he'd drive me in it. If we went to town, we went in it. So being raised in one had to be where I caught the bug. I yet to own one yet. But dad said if and when he's insane enough (or somehow too insane to drive) I get the Corolla. So in the future I will own the Transplant corolla. I cant wait for that day. But I don't want that day to come because I know ill miss my dads awesome driving. The only picture I have of the corolla is one a few months ago. And yes that's me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Omg, makes me sick to think of this. About 11 years ago, I bought a black 1978? Datsun 280Z that was a BEAST. I could come up with something really crude and sarcastic to say about....Well, I miss it. A lot. It's a long story and genuinely too painful to talk about. Obviously I don't have it anymore and.....I don't think I'll post this. It'll be a miracle if I do. What I do know/remember is, some kid (Asian, young 20s) was being forced to sell it by his strict dad, my assumption is, he bought it w/o his dad's approval. All I know is, it was a lousy $1500. The engine alone was worth well over twice that. It had a wing on it but it was a metal fabricated wing (the kind on a Plymouth Superbird)....Not fiberglass. What I will post an early Z car that I saw today, a factory color,Electric lime. Real pud puller material to me. Don't even think about asking me if you know if the owner wants to sell. I would have already bought it today if there was the slightest possibility of it being a reasonable dollar amount on it. It was a family car and the original owner still drives and love it. Update: 10/10/15 Just sold my Carina and furiously looking all over craigslist for a new ride. Might be going old school American or Japanese. There's a 1960 Ford that I really really really want. Even though I know better from driving an old project, and that I could get a job I want with a newer car, I call them "Jellybeans" because all vehicles from about 1990 & on look the same/were designed in a wind tunnel. Booooor-ing.

our family always owned Toyotas since I can recall, everything from clean 4x4 sr5 pick ups to tercels, corollas, camrys, tundras, celicas I built my Tacoma first and thought an old school addition would be a good next project. maybe it might be time for a new body style taco too
